It’s been a busy summer at Hilary Jane’s, planning workshops and classes for the forthcoming autumn term. I was very proud to see one of my quilts displayed at The Festival of Quilts and to receive lovely comments from the judging panel.
Christmas is round the corner and I am so excited I will be providing crafting workshops at the Country Living Christmas fairs at the Business Design Centre, London and the Convention Centre, Harrogate. I love being part of these crafting workshops and for me it is the start of the festive period. The title of this year’s project is ‘Making a Gingerbread House Decoration’. Enjoy the rest of the summer !

Country Living Spring Fair at Ally Pally is in full swing ! Meeting lots of lovely people, first workshop yesterday was great, looking forward to the next one today.

Just back from a wonderful (and tiring!) four days at the Country Living Christmas Fair in Harrogate. Apart from meeting and chatting with visitors to my stand, each day I ran a workshop for 45 people making a gift bag. It was, as always, great fun and the show always has a lovely atmosphere.

Once again I will be conducting workshops at the 2017 Country Living Christmas Fair in Harrogate (30th November – 3rd December). Also, for the first time, Country Living are running workshops at their Islington Christmas Fair and I am proud to be asked to conduct a daily workshop at this event as well (8th – 12th November).

We were lucky again with the weather (just the occasional strong gust of wind ! ). I am proud to say we raised £520.85 for the Children with Cancer charity. Thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes and cakes. A special thank you to my students who provided their quilts for the display.

Before the Christmas preparations get underway and the family descend, I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas. It has been a great year for Hilary Jane’s with lots of quilts made, craft projects worked and bespoke workshops held. Planning for 2015 is already under way and I look forward to meeting new students and familiar faces when classes resume in January 2015. Happy Christmas !!!
